We designed a new entry for the Covey Center For The Arts

We came up with a concept that we thought would be very cool for the rear entry of the Covey Center for the Arts. The idea was that we would show people from the roaring twenties all dressed up going to the theatre. It would make those going in feel that they were more dressed up, rubbing shoulders with high class, fun people.

We call in "Putting On The Ritz At The Covey Center." But just looking at the drawing, it's difficult to see what's actually going on. So We needed a model.

I cut out a scale version of the walls of the existing entryway which included all metal in the framing including the bars of the doors.

I used hot glue to hold the model together and I applied spray glue to the foam core board to hold the transparencies of the stained glass to the model. 
Once it was done, I took it to Paul Duerden who is the General Manager of The Covey Center. I told him that we would like to build the windows for the entry and we can donate half of the cost of the windows. This was back in 2008. Now that the Covey Center is paid for and has some funds in thier endowment for the arts fund, we'd like to use this project as a way to help raise money for the Covey Center.
