We first cut out the clear glass of the
"Thinker" figure. I had to cut many parts with the ring saw,
often cutting sideways to be able to cut the piece.
Then we applied contact paper resist and the paper design of the piece. Then most of it was removed and most of the glass was sand blasted, leaving the clear areas that define his chin and arm, belly and leg. |

With the panel completed, we soldered a zinc frame on the window. Then we trimmed the zinc and added hanging rings to the frame. |
|
|
I held up the finished piece outside the cafe to get a feel for how well it matches other logo pieces they have. |
