BETTER STAINEDGLASS STORE

You see folks who advertise, "We can build anything you can imagine." Problem is, most folks need to see the idea before they can imagine something. So we built a stained glass skylight to give folks an idea of what is possible.

The main panel has a lot of symbolism. The star in the center represents the star of Bethlehem, so also the birth of Jesus and hand of Deity. The circle represents life and water, the moon and sun and all of God's creations.

The phases of the moon represent the passage of time on the Earth.

Here is the star panel, this side is left unsoldered so that it will be flexible as we install it in the frame. I still need to sandblast this side of the glass because the bulb can be seen through the glass and sandblasting will obscure the "burn through."

The jewels represent the stars in the sky and other wonders in the Heavens.

Here, I'm bending the panel very gently so it will fit the rounded frame. This panel design wasn't as easy to bend as the other design and so I had to be very careful not to crack the glass.

The Victorian arms are the "Arms Of His Love." They encircle us with love. The symbol of the jewel combined with the curved lines that extend past them represent an extension of the Spirit passing through the fire of inspiration.

All the glass was placed in the framework, which was built for us by Josh Barnum several years ago. I then mounted the skylight in a box that housed the lights which illuminate the stained glass. We've done other sky lights in the past. Click here to see another.
