Jeanne has designed seven different panels for her "Women Of Faith" series. Each one is based on a famous scene from paintings and photographs that inspire and demonstrate the value and worth of women throughout history.

We start with a full sized pattern to build the stained glass to. This allows us to keep each copy of the window precisely the same, but every one will have variations. The texture and color of the glass will always vary. Each piece is individually crafted, so each panel we build is a unique piece of art.

Here is the window, with the glass cut out ready to be foiled and soldered. Her face will be sandblasted and painted before assembly.

And here she is in full sun light. The color of the clear sky comes through the clears in the panel making them look blue.

This close up illustrates the drama in the glass in the corner, which suggests that the wind is really blowing hard against her.

  "Shelter From The Storm"

In wind-blown clothing of slate and blue, a girl wraps herself and tries to shelter herself from the winds that threaten to blow her away.

She is bombarded by the winds which blow to and fro, tossed about by every wind of doctrine.

She could represent Mother Eve being driven from the garden. Of course, Eve probably didn't wear printed cloth, but the "feel" of battling against the elements seems appropriate for the feeling that Eve must have felt, being driven from her first home.

The piece measures 18" wide by 30" tall. It comes with a ring at each of the two top corners for hanging.
